Hombre arrestado por traer explosivos dentro del ashram de Satya Sai Baba en Puttaparthi

ANANTAPUR: La policía de Anantapur ha arrestado a una persona, originario de Kerala, por traer material explosivo en el "Prasanthi Nilayam" de Satya Sai Baba en Puttaparthi.

El hombre, identificado como Rajappa (48),fue encontrado el miércoles cargando sobre su persona dos detonadores y un alambre fusible,

le dijo a los reporteros el jueves el DPS Venkat Reddy.

Reddy dijo que el hombre había sido encontrado por los Seva Dals de Nilayam mientras ambulaba sospechesomente, estos lo atraparon y lo entregaron a la policía.

La policía dice que contactaron al Prof. Mukud, jefe de los Seva Dal de Kerala, pidiéndole que verificara los antecedentes del arrestado. El Prof . Mukd, después de una investigación informó a la policía de Puttaparthi que Rajappa era una persona "fuera de juicio".

Man arrested for carrying explosives inside Satya Sai Baba ashram in Puttaparthi

ANANTAPUR: Anantapur police have arrested a person, hailing from Kerala, for carrying explosive material in "Prasanthi Nilayam" of Satya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi.

The man, identified as Rajappa (48), was on Wednesday found carrying two detonators and a fuse wire on his person, Puttaparthi DSP Venkat Reddy told reporters here on Thursday.

Reddy said the man was found roaming suspiciously in the Nilayam by Seva Dal volunteers, who caught him and handed him over to police.

Police say they contacted Prof. Mukud, Seva Dal chief of Kerala, asking him to ascertain the antecedents of the arrested person. Prof. Mukud after inquiry informed Puttaparthy police that Rajappa was an "unsound man".

Later, police produced Rajappa before the Magistrate at Penukonda, who directed police to send Rajappa to the mental hospital at Yerragadda in Hyderabad for examination.

Meanwhile, security in and outside the Nilayam has been strengthened, the DSP said.
